DRIVER EDUCATION

General Information

Students are offered a Driver Education course through Education Service Unit #3.  Students are required to complete 20 hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of 3 hours of behind the wheel driving.  Driver Education includes (1) basic defensive driving, skills, and safety procedures, (2) study and application of rules and regulations that affect our driving.  This course is graded and requires a learner permit before behind the wheel driving lessons are given.  20 hours of classroom attendance is mandatory with a makeup date provided.  Driving arrangements are made with the instructor allowing flexibility in scheduling.  All students must pass the DMV certified road test to obtain a waiver for a Provisional Operator Permit.
