Instructional Coaching

ESU #3’s Professional Learning Department provides a variety of instructional coaching services for its districts. Instructional Coaches are job-embedded professional developers who use their relationships, professional learning, and different coaching techniques to increase teacher effectiveness. Instructional coaches use a variety of methods, models, and techniques with the teachers they support to encourage high-quality instruction, intervention, classroom management, and engagement.

In the Professional Learning Department at ESU #3, support for Instructional coaching is available to districts in a variety of fully-customizable services. ESU #3 Education Consultants work directly in-district with teachers and administrators as Instructional Coaches. Districts with their own teams of instructional coaches receive support through the Coaching Cadre that meets quarterly at ESU #3. This collaborative, solutions-focused cadre meets to build shared knowledge around best practices in instructional coaching. Regional programming, including presenters like Jim Knight, Elena Aguilar, Pete Hall, and Diane Sweeney complete a comprehensive approach to Instructional Coaching through the Professional Learning Department.
