Welcome to Educational Service Unit #3!
I’m Dr. Dan J. Schnoes, and I am honored to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of ESU #3. For the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our outstanding team, dedicated board, and 18 member school districts to deliver exceptional services that support students, educators, and communities across the region.
With over 40 years in education, I’ve served as a teacher, coach, administrator, and superintendent. In addition, I’ve worked as an educational consultant, national trainer, and adjunct professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I am proud to represent ESU #3 on several state and national boards, including serving as Chair of the NCSA Executive Board, AESA Central Region Representative and President for AESA Executive Council, and finally as a board member for the ESU Coordinating Council.
I earned my degrees from Midland University, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and completed my doctorate at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Beyond my professional life, I’m grateful for a supportive family—my wife, Connie, is a Clinical Psychologist at Boys Town, and together we enjoy our six children and nine wonderful grandchildren.
It’s a privilege to serve you through the work we do at ESU #3. I look forward to our continued collaboration and shared commitment to educational excellence.
